Ethel passed away peacefully at the age of 96 years. Ethel was predeceased by her husband, Algie Brown. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Joyce; nephew, Robert Volkmann; nieces, Dorothy Gaume, Betty Smith, Helen Friesen, Carolyn Secret and Sharon Volkmann. Ethel was also predeceased by her brother, John Fife. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Kirk United Church, 13535 – 122 Avenue, Edmonton with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 5420 – 106 Street, Edmonton. A special Thank you to Laurie Hilden and Jane Salazan for their many years of care and compassion and to the nursing staff on unit 11Y at the Edmonton General.
