James Davies

On September 1, 2011, James (Jim) Bruce Davies passed away in his home at the age of 83 years. James is survived by his wife Helen; two sons: Bruce and James A; grandchildren: Christopher and Rachel, Lauren and Noah.

He was predeceased by his eldest son Norman.

James served in the Canadian Army with the Canadian Officers Training Corps 1948 – 9, U of A Contingent. He served 1953 – 67 with the 116 Manning Depot, retiring in the rank of Major.

James retired from the Edmonton Public School System as director of the Bureau of Child Study.

Cremation has already taken place and, by James’ request, no formal ceremony will be held.

In lieu of flowers, James requests that donations be sent to The Greg and Audrey Greenough Cardiac Sciences Fund for the Greenough prize in Memory of Dr. Norman Davies, University Hospital Foundation, 1H1.91 WMC 8440 112 Street Edmonton, AB T6G 2B7.
