Joyce Allan of St. Albert, passed away on Sunday April 1, 2012 at the age of 85 years. Joyce was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend. From a young age, Joyce had a green thumb, and a love for family and friends. Joyce was born in Edmonton and was raised on a farm in Ladner BC and Eckville Alberta. She worked for the Alberta Government in Edmonton, before marrying John (Bill) in 1947. They farmed for a number of years in the Claireview and Namao area. Later, they moved to the city living in Edmonton, Vernon and St. Albert. Joyce was always active in the community wherever she was, including Pigeon Lake, where Bill and Joyce enjoyed a cabin and leisure time.

Joyce is lovingly remembered by her husband John(Bill), son Bill; daughters Wendy (Jerry), Sharon (Duncan); three grandchildren Paige (Bobby), Emily and Ryley; her brother Fred (Violet); special niece Sydney, and great grandchildren Austin and Dax.

She was predeceased by her daughter Debra; her sister Barb; and her brothers; Gifford, John, and Sid.
