Ralph Edmund Davison passed away peacefully on May 13, 2012. Ralph was born in Vancouver, B.C., however lived most of his life in Edmonton, AB. He joined the Navy as a young man and while serving he met his wife Norine Fowler, a Wren with the Royal Canadian Navy. After the war they returned to Edmonton and raised their family. Ralph worked in Communications with Alberta Government Telephones for 37 years. Ralph is survived by his children, Susan (Fred) Ruddick of Ardrossan, AB, Tim Davison of Whiterock, B.C., Pam Davison of Vancouver, B.C. and Rob Davison of Edmonton, AB; daughter-in-law, Michelle Davison of Scarborough, ON; brother-in-law, Bob Fowler (Helen) of Sidney, B.C.; sister-in-law, Lucile Fowler of Kingston, ON; cousin, Jane Lyndon of Toronto, ON; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Ralph was predeceased by his wife, Norine in 1990; sister, Phyllis Urwick in 2002; son, Richard Davison in 2007; as well as his parents, Daisy and Bertie Davison. The family wishes to express their gratitude and thanks to the exceptional staff at CapitalCare Strathcona long term care facility in Sherwood Park, AB for their compassion and excellent care of Ralph. Their diligent attention gave us all peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
