On Thursday, September 20, 2012, our beloved mother and grandmother, Geertruida Zwaantina, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 80 years.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Cathy (Arie Jol), Annette (Robert Kaminsky), Fred (Wilma), Elmer (Joanne), and Laura; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jerry Zomerman (Margaret) and her sister, Tina (Stan Bootsma).

Friends and relatives wishing to pay their respects may do so from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Monday, September 24 at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street. An Interment Service for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25 at Westlawn Memorial Gardens, 10132 – 163 Street. A Celebration Service to remember Gertrude’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 25, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 13427 – 57 Street, Edmonton.

The family wishes to thank Dr. David Ng, and the staff at the Emmanuel Home, for their kindness and care of our mother and grandmother.
