John Burrough passed away at home in St. Albert on Tuesday October 9th, 2012 at the age of 83 years.

John was born 5th September, 1929 in Stanford-le-Hope Essex, England. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Janice; three children, Sara Lynn, Mark (Nellie) and Adam (Erin); five grandchildren, Melissa, Paul, Reegan and twins Cael and Cameron; other relatives both here and in the UK, and many friends.

He was a member of Balmoral Lodge #185 AF&AM; Pioneer Chapter #135 OES and Al Shamal Shrine Oriental Band.

A Celebration of John’s life will be held at Cornerstone Hall, # 6 Tache St., St. Albert on Friday October 19th, 2012 at 2 pm. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners' Hospital c/o Al Shamal Shrine Centre, 14510-142 Street, Edmonton, AB, T6V 1H9
