In Loving Memory of

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gustaaf Eduard Doornberg at the age of 82 on December 2, 2012. The Lord called him home while living with Alzheimer’s disease.

He will always be remembered for his warm loving heart, his bright smile and enduring optimism. Gus had a great career with PCL Construction in Alberta and in the North. He was involved in many buildings of distinction in and around the Edmonton area.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marja; children Henry (Jolanda), Karen (Rudy) and Ernest Robbert (Dawn); grandchildren, Melissa, Alida, Garrett, Abigail, Skyler, Branden, Evan and Avery; sister Ank (Wim) Boender and brother Dirk (Iet) and numerous family and friends in Canada and the Netherlands.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff on 2 South at the Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Centre in Edmonton.

A Celebration of Gustaaf’s Life will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 am at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 19010 - 87 Ave., Edmonton.
