On January 9, 2013 Eleanor passed away with her loving family by her side.

Left to cherish her memory her loving husband, John; children, John, Frances, and Blair; grandchildren, Alec, Rebecca, Madeleine, Henry, and Cecily; siblings, Beth, Ronald and David.

Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, Attie and Lillian Blair of Pakenam, Ontario.

Eleanor was a teacher in Ottawa and in Canada's north where she met her husband, John. She was an active church member, teacher, gardener, choir director, homemaker and much loved wife, mother, and grandmother. Her interests included family, nature, cooking, music, sports, and reading.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 19 at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 11111 - 57 Avenue, Edmonton.

The family is most grateful to Drs. Yip and Mulchey and staff at the Pulmonary Care Unit of the University of Alberta Hospital.
