On Sunday, January 20, 2013 Elaine Johnson passed away peacefully at the age of 85 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Elaine is survived by her five children, Dorie, Dean, Mark, Kathy, Stew; and seven grandchildren. Elaine was a talented singer, competitive curler, avid traveler, published author and a loyal Yukoner. She worked as a nurse prior to starting a large family with her husband Vern, who passed away in 1980. For many years she was Chorus Steward and publicist with the Edmonton Opera and active in leading church choirs. Thank you to the Staff at St. Joseph Auxiliary Hospital for taking such good care of Mom. No formal service will be held.
