Frederica Josephina Vriens

After joyfully celebrating her 79th birthday, Frederica went to be with her Lord on February 22, 2013.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, William; her children, Doris (Roland), Corey (Jean), Andy, Annette (Nick); nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Family in Canada and the Netherlands also mourn her passing.

Frederica’s parents, Kees and Antje and her brother Gerrit, predeceased her.

The family is grateful to Dr.’s Datar, Belsch and Wong for their excellent care and to St. Joseph’s Palliative Unit for their compassionate caring.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton.

In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make memorial donations to the St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Palliative Care Unit, 10707-29 Avenue, Edmonton, T6J 6W1.
