On March 8, 2013, Peter Reed Ellis, of Edmonton passed away at the age of 84 years due to complications following surgery.

A devoted husband, father and friend, this intelligent and productive man is survived by his wife of 57 years Roberta (nee Bailey), children David McConnell (Margaret Cardinal), Dianne McCoy (Dennis), Brian McConnell (Jill Whitford) and Reed Ellis (Lorna); grandchildren Justin (Sarah), Erin (Chris), Joel, Alexa, Tahza (Jessi), Nigel, Rebecca, Cara, Laura and Kerri; and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind sister Margaret Ellis who lives in Edmonton, and brother Richard (Pat) and family who lives in Leicestershire, England.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute for their kind, skilled and compassionate care.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
