Marcel Straayer of Edmonton went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 85.

Marcel will be lovingly remembered by his wife Wilma of 54 years; daughters Joanne (Tom) Booth and Margaret (Darrell) Holt; grandchildren Brenda (Jason) Trupp, Holly Booth, Matthew Holt and Carter Booth; sister Lyda (Leon) Gladpootjes of Holland; numerous nieces, nephews and family in Holland.

He was predeceased by his son, Martin and brother Peter.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 8715 - 118 Avenue, Edmonton on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.

In memory of Marcel, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute or to St. Andrew’s Church.
