Frederik Kaarsemaker of Edmonton passed away quietly the morning of July 17, 2013 a resident of St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital at the age of 91 years. Born in the Netherlands, he and Alice emigrated to Canada in 1957, settling first in Edmonton and then to Drayton Valley where they lived until the early 1980’s.

His memory will be cherished by his four children, Marianne (John) Willock, Fred (Eileen), Anna Skoworodko and Neil (Sandra); 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother; numerous family and friends.

Frederik was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Alice in 2007; son-in-law Ken Skoworodko; one sister and two brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Millwoods Evangelical Missionary Church, 4415 - 36 Avenue, Edmonton with Pastor Keith Bienert officiating.
