Gerrit Hoeksema of Edmonton, Alberta went to be with his Lord and Saviour on July 19, 2013 at the age of 83 years.

Gary was predeceased by his loving wife Sophie in 1976. He will be lovingly remembered by his six children, Hetty (Henry), Tony (Jane), Ken (Julie), Jeannette, Phil (Henriette) and Elaine (Dean), 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. He is survived by six brothers and sisters in Canada and the Netherlands.

Interment to take place on Wednesday, July 24, 11:00 a.m. at Westlawn Memorial Gardens, 10132-163 Street, Edmonton, Alberta. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Canadian Reformed Church, 21112 – 35th Avenue, Edmonton. To send condolences, please visit www.fostermcgarvey.com.
