On July 22, 2013 Mrs. Elaine Skene Clarke of Edmonton passed away at the age of 98 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Philip Alfred Clarke. She is survived by her son, Stan (Sylvia); granddaughter, Trisha; grandson, Scott (Kim), great-granddaughters, Emily, Melissa and Kaitlyn and grandson, Christopher. She graduated from nursing school in 1939 at Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary followed by a dedicated career as a homemaker. Numerous people will remember her 32 years in volunteer service at the Misericordia Hospital up to her passing. Elaine’s involvement in the Westend Seniors’ Activity Centre included the Walking Group, Knitting Group, Birthday Celebrations, Travel and Adventure tours and flu and blood donor events. No services will occur at her request. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make a donation to the charity of their choice.
