Mom left us on the evening of December 26, 2013. She was born near Calmar, Alberta and resided in and around the Edmonton area her entire life. She touched many through her different careers, resulting in lifelong cherished friendships. Mom had many achievements in the business world. Her greatest though were her children Brian (Kathy) Meaney (Mike, Nathan and James) of Spruce Grove, Deb (Jim) Huculak (Janine) of Calgary and Sandra (Rick) Lake (Colin, Jason, Nathan and Sarah) of Wisconsin, U.S.A. She was predeceased by her parents Tom and Lila McKittrick of Alsike, Alberta.

Mom had the VVIP (very, very important patient) treatment from the staff at the U of A unit 5G and the staff at the Norwood Palliative Care Unit. Special thanks to Dr. Peter Hum for the caring of our mother.

"Even the smallest act of caring for another person is like a drop of water, it will make ripples throughout the pond." That was Mom's life. Heaven gained an angel and we lost one. Love you Mom.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Foster & McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton, Alberta.
