On Tuesday, February 25, 2014 a loving heart stopped beating. Aletta Wilhelmina Adriana VandenBrink (nee Van Woudenberg) went to be with her Lord and Saviour after battling cancer.

Aletta is survived by John, her devoted husband of 59 years. She will be deeply missed by her children, Johan (Rita), Teresa (Ben) Lindemulder, Marina, and Karina (Stan) Witten. She was the loving Oma of Cherie, Jon, Brent and Darrell VandenBrink, Julie (Rob) Snijder, Robyn, Andrea and Benjamin Lindemulder (Leanne Monsma), Samantha VandenBrink, Karley and Katie Witten. Proud Great-Oma to Lily and Holly Shih, and Madeline Snijder. Also survived by one sister, Catrien Van Woudenberg in the Netherlands; many nieces, nephews and extended family; and numerous friends. She is predeceased by her parents, one brother, four sisters and one grandson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 11905 - 47 Street, Edmonton, with a reception to follow.
