On June 20, 2014 after a 3 ½ year struggle with a long lasting illness, our father, grandfather and great-grandfather Bettus went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his three children; one daughter, Nell (Ron) Piche; and two sons, Marc (Florence) Konynenberg; and Rob Konynenberg as well as six grandchildren and their spouses; and four great-grandchildren. We give thanks and appreciation to all the nurses, care aides, students, doctors and other staff at the Edmonton General Hospital who looked after him for such a long period. A Graveside Service will be held at Little Mountain Cemetery, 16025 – 50 Street NW, Edmonton on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at noon at Emmanuel Community Church, 6504 – 140 Ave. Edmonton. Memorial donations may be made to the Mel Miller Palliative Hospice Unit at the General Hospital, 11111 – Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T5K 0L4.
