After a long and blessed life, our Lord and Savior has taken home to Himself, our Mom and Oma.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Baucina, Grietje, John (Wendy), Dirk (Margaret), Hans (Karen) and Fred (Jenette); daughter-in-law Janice; 23 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.

Irene was predeceased by her husband Jan in 2010; infant daughter Grietje in 1944; son Ale in 2011; son-in-law Peter in 2014 and great grandchildren, Ryan in 1997 and David in 2010. Many thanks to all the staff at Good Samaritan Centre, Southgate for all of their care and compassion toward Mom in the last year.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 31, 2014 at Immanuel Canadian Reformed Church, 21112 - 35 Avenue NW, Edmonton.
