On February 3, 2015, David passed away peacefully at the age of 73 in Edmonton, Alberta with his son by his side.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, David (Jessica); his grandchildren: Lucas, Liam and Maria; his brother, Richard (Kathleen); his twin sister, Christina (John); and his brother, Thomas (Kathleen).

David was predeceased by his brother, Harry; his sister-in-law, Ann; his father, David; and his mother, Eileen.

David was born in New York City in 1941. In 1962, he moved to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree at St. Dunstan’s University, which he obtained in 1968. He obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University in 1974. He also received a Bachelor of Education from the University of Prince Edward Island. In 2010, David moved to St. Albert, Alberta to be with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
