On January 15th, Marlene passed away peacefully, with dignity and class surrounded by her loving family. She chose the way she lived and the way she passed. She was made comfortable every step of the way. We thank Dr. Rob, Nurse Carrie and the compassionate staff members at the U of A Hospital who treated her with respect and grace. Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Ingrid; son Gerald (Trish) - grandchildren Linnea and Reese; brother Norm (Darlene); numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Wolfi; brother Eddy; parents Erich and Kaethe. A Celebration of Marlene’s life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10:00 am at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 – 114 Street, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marlene may be made to the Lung Association.
