It is with sorrow we announce Margaret's (Peggy) passing on April 6, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Peggy will be forever missed, and lovingly remembered, by her devoted husband Stuart; their children Jean (Rob), Ellen (Rob), John (Rose), Sheila (Brent); their grandchildren Todd (Erin), Glenda (Matt), Trevor (Nichola), Nicole (Jason), Andrew, Leslie (Mike), Beth, Norris, Eric, Angela, Sarah (Dave), Thomas (Melissa), Elliott (Sara), Scott, Julie (Justin); and 19 great-grandchildren. Peggy also leaves her niece Elspeth (Barnard); sisters-in-law Ann Kellar, Lizanne Ryan, and Ansgard Thomson; her extended family and her many many friends. Peggy was predeceased by her brothers Walter and Dale Thomson.

Peggy was an extraordinary woman, lived her life to the absolute fullest and gave her gifts of kindness, compassion and love generously to all who knew her.

The family wishes to thank the compassionate and caring staff of the University of Alberta Hospital and the Grey Nuns Palliative Care unit.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Augustine's of Canterbury Anglican Church, 6110 Fulton Rd. NW, Edmonton, AB.

For those who wish to do so, memorial donations in memory of Peggy may be made to a benevolent society of the donor’s choice.
